From what i have read on mashable, internet users from Europe are getting control over information posted online, thanks to the reforms lawmakers proposed to protect digital privacy.

Mobile browsing in the Philippines goes up

Mobile marketing is expected to penetrate in the Philippines with Filipinos now getting matured and responsive to mobile browsing. The latest data from Yahoo Index Net 2011 revealed 57% of women and 43% of men getting accustomed into mobile browsing. Gmail for Mobile Adds Multiple Accounts and Tweaks Other Features!

When Google bought AdMob for $750 million in 2009, the company was clearly trying to capitalize on the growing mobile ad market. Mobile advertising, both on apps and the mobile web, is a natural extension of Google’s display and search ad business. Skype Makes Play for Mobile Group Messaging with GroupMe Acquisition

Skype announced it will acquire GroupMe, a group messaging smartphone app for Android, iPhone, Blackberry, and Windows Phone 7 that lets you create group texts, make conference calls, and share photos and your location. This is the second acquisition for Skype this year after buying video streaming service Qik in January.
Terms for Skype’s GroupMe acquisition were not disclosed, but some estimates peg the acquisition around $85 million, according to AllThingsD. Skype is itself being acquired by Microsoft, which purchased the Internet telephony company in May for $8.5 billion.
