HTC Ruby to be Named HTC Amaze 4G on T-Mobile

As you may or may not know, every device has at least two names – one that its manufacturer gives it, this name sometimes never seeing the light of day, and a second name which a carrier may give it. In the case of the HTC Ruby, we may never see the device be released with the lovely jewel name attached to it – instead today we’ve got news that this cool futuristic mother of a smartphone will be dubbed “HTC Amaze 4G” for …

T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide Review – Photographers Wanted

Unlike with the G1 and G2, HTC went for a real sliding mechanism here. The MT4GS has an in-plane slider that isn’t spring-loaded, but has smooth rails and positive detents at both ends of the travel. The operation feels pretty solid and sturdy enough to hold up over the long term.

batz39 asked: I have a T-mobile family plan with 4 lines and my contract is about to expire. I want to upgrade all four phones to something new. For example, if I wanted a Samsung Vibrant for all four phones that is advertised at $199 a piece, do I only pay $199 x 4 or around $800 for all my phones?

T-Mobile Getting 3G BlackBerry Onyx 9600 in September?

T-Mobile Getting 3G BlackBerry Onyx 9600 in September?
A lot of people prefer the BlackBerry Curve 8900 (Javelin) over the Bold 9000, but it sucks that the 8900 doesn’t have 3G. It seems that RIM is going to fix that with the upcoming BlackBerry Onyx and Driftwood this fall.

Just as the CDMA side is going to get the BlackBerry Niagara Tour very soon with a Curve 8900-like look at a Bold-like 3G experience, the GSM side will be treated to the BlackBerry Driftwood and Onyx in September. The Driftwood and Onyx may be one and …

"Pay Once" BlackBerry Plan Announced for T-Mobile UK

With the way that the economy is going these days, it’s understandable that many companies are getting pretty strapped for cash. Some stores are selling their products for a loss just so that they can have some liquidity. I can’t speak for their specific motivation, but it seems that T-Mobile UK is taking on a strategy that results in more cash in hand sooner.

We already know about standard monthly postpaid plans. We already know about pay-as-you-go options. T-Mobile UK is innovating with the …
