If there is minor slander or rubbish that tops the Google search results for your name, what are the most productive ways to bury it with positive buzz that will get enough hits to appear above it?

Create a lot of free websites with you name all over it, and tell it to all of your friends, and a bunch of random people online too. Get hits!

Good advice from Sagittarius and Ian.

And if this is anything that could become more than just “minor slander or rubbish” that is about you personally rather than just someone(s) else with the same name as you, or could eventually start getting you down and be something you need to go to authorities about, start documenting it now. Save copies of pages and put them in folders with dates on them. Note where the pages were saved from in a text file in each folder - easiest way is just to copy the web address to NotePad and paste the file name opposite it. Also, if you press F5 in NotePad, it puts the time stamp in the place where your cursor is.

Believe me, thinking it’s just one small incident is not the way to go. Systematic documentation is proof, no matter how tiny each incident in themselves. Feels a bit depressing but taken in small doses like this is easier to deal with than the depression when you have to try and sort out ages worth of stuff that you never documented properly or hardly ever and you are having trouble getting people to believe you.
